The Language of the Heart  💫 – How the Universe Speaks through Signs and Synchronicities

Many years ago, I read the famous book ‘The Alchemist’ by Paulo Coelho. Over the years, I have read countless books on spirituality, self-development, and the mysteries of life. Yet, only a handful have truly left a lasting imprint on my heart. The Alchemist is one of them.

The first time I read it, I didn’t fully grasp its deeper meaning. But despite that, I devoured every page, feeling an unexplainable pull toward its message. As I neared the final chapters, tears started streaming down my face. My logical mind couldn’t quite understand why, but something deep within me — something beyond words — knew.

Fast forward to today, and every cell of my being understands the message that my mind once could not comprehend. What I couldn’t logically grasp back then, my soul—the deeper I, as Eckhart Tolle would say—already knew. It was a message meant for my future self, for the version of me who would one day walk the same journey as Santiago, the book’s main character.

Santiago embarks on a quest to find a treasure near the Egyptian pyramids, but along the way, he discovers something far greater: he learns to communicate with the Soul of the World. He begins to understand the language of omens, the wind, the sun, and the desert — realizing that everything in the universe is deeply interconnected.

And here’s the truth: this same language is available to all of us. There is an amazing guidance system from the universe (i.e. consciousness, intuition, the God, the Source or whatever you want to call it), but to hear it, we must open our hearts and release the grip of the logical mind.

How I Learned to Speak the Language of the Soul

There have been many stages in my spiritual awakening, but one of the most profound—and life-changing—was learning to communicate with the universe through signs and synchronicities.

This ability didn’t just appear overnight. It was a gradual unfolding, a result of everything I had experienced up until that point — mindfulness practices, painful losses, deep heartbreaks, and illnesses — all of which cracked my heart open and made me ready to see.

About three years ago, a single event (which I will share another time) completely shattered my old perception of reality. From that moment on, a whole new world of guidance revealed itself to me — a world that had always been there, waiting for me to notice.

I call it an “incident” here, but in reality, it was not a random event. It was a destined moment of awakening, orchestrated by my soul.

How the Universe Speaks

The universe does not usually speak in words — it speaks in symbols, energy, and synchronicities. Here are some of the most common ways it communicates:

✨ Number sequences (like 111, 555, 444) appearing repeatedly on e.g. cars’ license plates, clocks, receipts, or phone numbers.
✨ Animals crossing your path at exactly the right moment.
✨ Music lyrics that deliver the exact message you needed to hear.
✨ Random words on walls, books, billboards, or even overhearing conversations that answer your unspoken question.
✨ Being in the right place at the perfect time.

But to receive these messages, your heart must be open. Your consciousness must be awake enough to recognize them. Otherwise, your logical mind will dismiss them as coincidences and bypass the magic entirely.

The ego-mind does not understand signs. But your soul (your heart) does.

How to Know When a Sign is Real

These symbols are not interpreted by the mind; they are felt through the heart. When I receive a sign, the meaning comes through my heart space rather than my intellect. It’s a deep knowing rather than a thought. Many times, I also experience cold chills, as a physical confirmation that I have understood the message correctly. 

Maybe you’ve experienced this too? That moment when every cell in your body vibrates, and a deep recognition washes over you? That’s when you know.

This has completely transformed my life. These signs have become my greatest guidance system — helping me make decisions, choose paths, and even prepare for life’s major events.

How the Universe Prepared Me for My Soulmate’s Transition

As I shared in my first blog post, my soulmate recently transitioned back into the non-physical world. 

A day before the chain of events leading to his passing began, I started seeing 55 and 555 everywhere.

The number 5 is the number of transformation — a sign of major life changes. I had seen it appear in my life just before and during big life transitions (like selling my house and moving to another country), but this time, it was everywhere. Every other car seemed to have 55 or 555 on its license plate, and a deep anxiety settled into my chest without any logical reason.

I knew something big was coming.

The next morning, my soulmate sent me a voice message with slurred speech. My heart dropped. Within an hour, we were in the hospital. It was the beginning of the biggest transformation of our lives (although until the last moment I still kept expecting a different outcome). 

And “of course”, the final room number he had in the hospital before leaving the physical world, was number 5. The room of transformation.

The Number 23 — His Message to Me

Then, the day before my soulmate transitioned, I started seeing 23 and 2323 everywhere.

It was strange because I had never noticed this number sequence before. I even googled its meaning  – like I usually do when I encounter a new angel number sequence (as they are often called) – , but none of the explanations resonated.

Then, one day after his passing, it hit me. 23 was his sign to me. It was his number, his way of saying, “I am here with you. Follow me.”

It wasn’t just a random sequence — it was deeply personal. My soulmate left this world on February 24th, and on the 23rd, he was still here. That’s why he chose that number — to tell me that he still exists, just in a different way.

Now, I see 23 every day. It appears on my kitchen oven clock. On my mobile phone. On cars when I walk down the street. Many times when I follow his number, I end up exactly where I need to be — whether it’s meeting new, kind people or discovering heart-shaped symbols reminding me that he loves me.

He is still guiding me.
